OUR CANDLES

We use the highest quality ingredients, time tested techniques and house-curated scents to hand make our small batch candles.  We've been doing it this way since the 1950s. We strive to provide our community with quality candles using sustainable, clean products and processes.   

THE WAX

We use soy wax and beeswax to make our different types of candles.  Unique house-blend wax recipes are used to create each type of candle with a superior burn and smooth scent.    

THE SCENTS

Hand-blended scents are curated each season along with The Factory's standard scent line available year round. The carefully selected fragrances that we use are skin safe and phalate-free.

THE TECHNIQUES AND "MACHINES" 

The techniques used at The Factory have been passed down candlemaker to candlemaker.  Each proprietor of The Factory has carried on the legacy started in the small shop in the 1950s while enhancing processes and materials as the science of candle making have advanced. 

THE OLD FACTORY

The candle factory’s most well-known location in Davisburg, Michigan was the home of the Davisburg Candle Factory from the 1960’s through 2020. The old factory building is now home to a unique retail shop, Simply Rescued. The shop is open 7 days per week offering an array of antiques, hand made goods and Davisburg Candle Factory candles. Some of the original equipment, including the hand-built taper dipping machine that spans the ceiling of the factory, are available to view and our hand poured candles are available for purchase.
